Hikari Mulberific Delite is a fiber rich daily food source that has been scientifically formulated to meet the specific dietary needs of tortoises, herbivorous reptiles such as spiny-tailed lizards, iguanas and many species of turtles. The main ingredient in these pellets is mulberry leaf, which provides optimal nutrition while also improving the overall palatability of the food. The addition of mulukhiya or Japanese mustard spinach, as well as other vegetables and plant matter further improves the flavour to increase appetite as well as provide a more accurate substitute for the wild grasses these creatures would consume in their natural habitats.
Often, reptiles can suffer from poor hydration to due an improper diet, which in turn causes severe urinary tract issues and other issues. The Mulberific Delite pellets however, boast a unique, sponge-like texture that provides unmatched water absorption and retention to ensure your favourite reptilian companion is properly hydrated at all times. Simply soak the pellets for five minutes before feeding your pet, and the pellets will expand with a moisture content of 76.7%, which is equal to naturally growing wild grasses. The pellets also contain "Hikari-Germ", a unique probiotic enhanced formula that contributes to improved immune and digestive system health, while helping to create less-dense feces with less odor. The low-protein content with a 5:1 calcium to phosphorus ratio is ideal for tortoise species and the pellets contain no colour additives. Comes in a 22.9 ounce container.
